GET TO KNOW US
HCC is an independent church that started life in 1981 as a part of the Charismatic House Church movement. It enjoys a rich diversity of members drawn from different denominations, streams and backgrounds, as well as many new to faith. This, coupled with our strong focus on unity with the other churches in our town, gives us a strong, broad and healthy spirituality, free to be shaped and built by Jesus.
Our model for leadership is family and we therefore enjoy the covering, accountability and support of a growing network of Fathers and Mothers, including Dave Day, Andrew Price, Steve Lee, Gordon Hickson, and Rodney and Pat Kingstone.
We believe that fivefold ministries (those with the offices of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers) are vital to grow and release a mature church family who are enabled to impact their neighbourhood for Jesus.
HCC LEADERSHIP TEAM :
Biblical leadership is about being a family. Leaders should be more Mum and Dad than managers. They are not there to control or do everything but focus on our culture, on hearts.
What are real Godlike values that work in our world of trials, challenges and pain? Along with the whole church family we therefore seek to nurture, support and encourage, a platform and not a ceiling for each individual life.
Therefore HCC’s vision develops and grows from the grass roots of, ‘What has God placed in you and how can we develop and release that?’
