Prayer at HCC

At Highworth Community Church, prayer is at the heart of everything we do. It keeps us anchored in God’s presence and reminds us that real transformation flows from Him, not our own efforts. Prayer shapes our character, grows our compassion, and fuels our mission to serve our community with hope. We believe everyone has a part to play in bringing needs before God, no matter their background or experience. In every season, prayer connects us to the truth that with Jesus, nothing is impossible.

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

'Sozo' is the Greek word for salvation, and it encompasses physical, emotional and spiritual healing.

Sozo is simple and Spirit led, a very gentle and honouring form of prayer ministry where you will be guided in an encounter with God, to both hear from Him and respond to Him. The main aim is to get to the root of those things hindering a personal connection with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

A Sozo session takes about an hour; however, we encourage you to give yourself space before and afterwards to get the most out of the session.

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Has something from a recent church gathering challenged you or moved your heart?

Do you want to see growth and breakthrough in your walk with Jesus?

Is there a specific area of your life where you would value prayer and support?

Are you going through a difficult time?

Prayer ministry is an opportunity for you to follow this up. It is a safe space to talk and pray together with two people, at least one of whom will be a leader from The Freedom Centre. These sessions can happen at your home, The Bridge or anywhere you feel comfortable.

There is no specific shape to these sessions, they will be tailored to you and your needs and normally last about 30 minutes. They can be a one off session, or the team may recommend one of the other Freedom Centre ministries to help and encourage you.
